Community Service Outreach

“Andwhat does the Lord require of you?
To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God.”    Micah 6:8

Many of our members are building relationships that make a difference as they seek to live out Micah 6:8.   They reach out to unwed mothers, refugees, single parent families, disadvantaged youth, and vulnerable children. God is glorified as the Holy Spirit leads us to serve the least among us in the name of Jesus.

Community Service Outreach Team
Over the next 3-5 years, the Community Service Outreach Team will identify opportunities to serve the least and the lost in our community. These opportunities could include service to public schools, with social service agencies, with community and neighborhood associations, and more.

The Karen-Karenni Project

Nearly 2000 refugees from the Karen and Karenni tribes of Burma live at the corner of 91st Street and College Avenue in Nora.  We now have a growing ministry to Karen and Karenni children and their families, mainly through our Wednesday evening Mid-week Clubs.  For more information contact Pastor Steve Sandvig or Irene Vanderlaan at info@christcommunitycarmel.org
